Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Strapping

High tensile 2" x .044" G165 Strap is dipped with a G165 coating to prevent corrosion.  This strapping is used in outdoor and military applications.  The strapping is made in the USA and meets all MIL specs.  Certification and tracing tags are available at an extra cost.

The galvanized strapping is ribbon wound in 90-95 pound coils.  It will fit on standard ribbon would strapping dispensers like the 3340 (click to link).  There are 12 coils per skid.  The Hot-Dipped Galv. banding is 138,000 PSI UTS, and 134,000 PSI minimum.  It has 9-13% elongation (per ASTM D3953).  There are 3.3 feet of strapping per pound on the 2" x .044" strap.

2" x .047" G165 is also available.

Sealer: SC2 (battery powered) or NS250 (pneumatic) 

Tensioner: STB2 and STB2000 (battery powered) or PN2-2 (pneumatic)

Allstrap opinion:

The only thing more corrosion resistant is Stainless steel (available in T200/304/316/316L), but many city, state, and federal contracts mandate a heavy coating of hot dipped galvanized strapping for the 2" x .044/.047" size.  It is a bear to work with, but is generally considered to last 25 years (less around salt water).  Please contact Allstrap for pricing on 2" x .044" Hot Dipped Galvanized strapping.
