Signode BXT3-25 and BXT3-32 is expected to be released in 2017 or 2018 (or maybe not at all).
We expect several important changes to bring the BXT3 to the top of the strapping tool class. The former BXT2-32 will get a huge durability improvement. Here is whats new: a solid base, this BXT version loses the rocker arm. The first 1” and 1.25” strapping tool to do this was Siat’s pneumatic POLIHT25 and POLIHT32 (click to link), and more recently Fromm released the battery powered P331. The solid base allows the tool to be removed easier after tension, and lets you use it on smaller round surfaces.
Here is whats the same: the battery and charger remains the same Bosch that is used on the BXT3-25/32. You will be able to upgrade your tool to the more robust BXT3-25/32, and use the same batteries that you already have! Tension is expected to be 1600 pounds, and it will run on 5 amp hour 36 volt lithium batteries. The Signode BXT3-25 and BXT3-32 will run 1” or 1 1/4” PET strapping.
Allstrap Opinion: This tool should be the easiest to use on the market, and the solid base will make this a tougher version of Signode’s previous tools. We are excited to test, be sure to check back, we will post BXT3-32 updates soon!
