Golden Bear STB-Mil Battery Powered Steel Strapping Tensioner
The STB Milwaukee is the strongest battery pusher tensioner on the market. This Golden Bear tool comes in at 10 pounds with no air hose, which makes it very mobile. Lose the tripping hazard of an air hose, and switch to battery powered strapping tools!
The STB-Mil battery powered steel tensioner pulls the strap tight, then seals with separate sealer like the DN114 battery powered sealer. This battery tensioner uses the standard trigger, which lets you run with variable speed. The STB-Mil lets you reverse, so if you want to reverse the bander after sealing, you no longer have to snap the band off. Reverse is also nice if you need to reposition the band after pulling it tight. The Milwaukee tensioner pulls up to 1,800 pounds of tension.
The STB is also available with Metabo power (for the STB click here). There is also the STB1600 which is only 6 pounds including the battery.

Allstrap Opinion: There were a bunch of other battery tools (Grip Pack PB114 tensioner), but this is the toughest tensioner on the market. We like the STB-MIL. The GripPack tensioner was first to market, but the STB tool improves on some key areas. It feels like the Grip Pack tool is just a bit light, which makes it break down too fast (way too fast). So if you need a tougher tool, the STB-Mil tensioner is it. The STB-Mil also uses a standard Milwaukee drill as the driver, which improves strength and efficiency from the Grip Pack tensioner. This tensioner is much faster than other battery tool brands, and comes in second in speed to the STB1600. We recommend the STB-Mil battery powered tensioner.
